Franco Fontana has been long known for his landscapes and seascapes which revealed his talented eye for ample, colourist composition dominated by sober, pared back-back lines, and as a result the book Skyline was published in 1978. The inevitable urban tumult of America's sprawling cities might, on the face of it, seem to break with the coherence of Franco'earlier work, with its beautiful lines and painstaking swathes of colour. What was he hoping to find in the great cities of America during his various trip from 1985 to 2011?
Come and discover his original photographs published in the book America by editions Contrejour.
Exhition from 13 October to 7 December 2021
