Juliette-Andréa ELIE
Introduction
Born in 1985, Juliette-Andréa Elie graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Nantes Métrople (DNSEP 2010) and studied engraving technics at the concordia University in Montreal. She won several prices (Mentorat des Filles de la Photo 2020, Foire de photographie Fotofever 2016), and was a member of the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2016 to complete her research on the landscape and Anthropocene questions. Her work was exhibited in 11 metropolitan stations for the Paris Expérience Photo festival organized by the Fisheye magazine. In 2019, the visual artist photographer was chosen for the TCI Théâtre de la Cité Internationale (Paris)'s annual commission and her sculpted photographs were exhibited in Shanghai (China) to represent the young French artists. She regularly creates educational action, like she has been doing with the Cent-Quatre-Paris since 2016.
Her work has been the subject of solo – Parcours Elles in Paris-Photo 2020 (with the baudoin lebon gallery), Théâtre de la Cité Internationale (2019), baudoin lebon (2017, 2016) gallery, Cité Internationale des Arts (2016) – and collective exhibition – L'Antichambre, Scène Française in the Georges V Art Center in Shangai (2019), Paysages, La Chapelle art centre (2019), La Biennale de l'Image Tangible in Paris (2018), Les Rencontres d'Arles festival (2017), Le bord des mondes - Hors les Murs by the Palais de Tokyo (2016), Le Voyage à Nantes (2015), Circulation(s), Festival de la jeune photographie européenne by the CENTQUATRE-PARIS (2015).
Juliette-Andréa Elie often participates to international fairs like the Bienvenue Art Fair (2019), Paris Photo (2017), the AIPAD in New York (2018, 2017) et SP Foto in Sao Paulo (2016).
