" History of the white world "
Joel-Peter Witkin pursues his daily obsessional quest for a different kind of beauty, mise-en-scène, that sends the viewer back to his own strangeness. The artist delivers his most recent work. Witkin retraces the history of the Western World. His photographs are at the same time imprints of various biblical passages and mythology but also punctuated with literary and philosophical references that he dramatizes whilst releasing a serenity that becomes more and more pronounced.
