Beatrice BISSARA

Béatrice Bissara is a French artist born in 1972 who lives and works in Paris.

Her personal and artistic field of investigation touches the consciousness and our relation to the real. Through her own experience and cosmological perception of the world, she questions this reality by trying to stretch the limits of our perception.

Art becomes a playground in which no way of expression is being ruled out, on the contrary mediums can get involved or linked to each other to better reach this widened perception. Recent scientific evolutions join this vision – in particular in neurosciences, astrophysics or biology – which feeds her reflection, and becomes support of research.

Whether it is sculpture, paint, installation, kinetic, bright and sound device, she experiments in her recent work these temporal, immersive and poetic processes so that the artwork becomes an “experiential” moment, able to redefine or even to bring down the limits between body, space, time and consciousness.
