Dorian FRANCOIS
Introduction
Dorian François (1984) is a French photographer living in Paris. Since 2005, he has been extensively travelling throughout Asia where he has been working on numerous long-term projects. François's intense desire to travel has become firmly linked to a need to share his stories through photography and writing, wherein the notion of time is the principle element.
His work on the Indian island of Majuli has been displayed in several galleries in Paris, the Phnom Penh Photo Festival and during the Delhi Photo Festival. His work Ulan Bator on Mongolia was shown at the Angkor Photo Festival in Siem Reap, (Cambodia) and short-listed twice for the Bourse du Talent Award. More recently, he was a finalist for the prestigious Prix Roger Pic for his series on China, Solitudes.
He is actually designing and self-publishing a series of ten books called Short-Stories.
