Jan SCHLEGEL
Présentation
Jan C. Schlegel est né en 1965 dans la Forêt-Noire, en Allemagne. Il a découvert sa passion pour la photographie à l'âge de 14 ans dans le cadre d'un cours de photo à l'école. Pour son premier appareil photo, le reflex Minolta XG9, le jeune homme de 14 ans a économisé beaucoup d'argent. Lauréat d'un concours photo de l'AGFA axé sur le portrait, il participe à un séminaire organisé par le photographe Walter Schels au Staatslehranstalt für Photographie de Munich. Sous l'influence de Walter Schels, Jan C. Schlegel commence à affirmer sa ferveur pour les portraits en noir et blanc. Toni Schneiders, un voisin éloigné de Schlegel, devient le deuxième mentor important du jeune photographe.
